The History of College Betagi girls` school, situated in Betagi upazila-head quarter under Barguna District was founded in 1967 by the coordinated effort of some educated minded and respected persons of this locality. After that, this institution was upgraded as college in 1998 by adding class eleven and class twelve. At present,There are four branches in this institution.Humanities and science group exists from class six to class ten. Vocational branch exists in class nine and ten which includes three trades. In higher secondary level, There is humanities group. There also exists Business Management(BM) group in Higher secondary level. Al the teachers and office staffs are MPO listed. This institution was placed 5th in the top listed 10 institutions in Barisal Board in 2008 according to its result. In the result of previous year HSC examination, Our average result of percentage was about 88% including GPA-5. This institution is known as one and only girls` higher educational institution of this Upazila head quarter for its spreading education among the coastal and remote areas girls education and spreading consciousness among the common woman folk.
