Mainly the historical Goila Model Secondary School was founded by Late Kailash chandra Sen on January 23, 1893 with only 360 students. The first Headmaster of this School was the founder Mr. Kailash chandra Sen from 1893 to 1928. To illuminate people he resigned the post of Deputy Magistrate at that time the building was in the land of Judge Bipin Bihari Das Gupta. Now in this School the total students is 1298. It is parmanent recognized by calcutta University. Now it is a PSC, JSC and SSC centre. Currently it is regarded as the best Schools of the North Barisal region of Bangladesh
