Naghirpar Secondary School has long glorious history. It is located at the village Naghirpar in Agailjgara under the district of Barisal. Originally a village association called ARJYAFAND was established in 1926 at the village Naghirpar, aimed to perform welfare activities in the rural areas. The motivator of the ARJYAFAND was Sree Brindaban Dafader. Actually, his name was Brindaban Baroi. He was awarded the title Dafader (meaning overseer under Choukidar ) a government servant. Brindaban Dafader and his main other associates together built a school house in 1935. It was then named Naghirpar primary school, with only class one to class four. In 1945 the school extended its class up to six and it was named Naghirpar Minor school. At that time, the Headmaster of the school was Gabindo Pandey from Baromagra and he discharged his duties up to 1946. There after, the school was developed and renamed Naghirpar Junior High School. At that time, the successive Headmasters were Babu Khudiram Baroi, Babu Monimohan Baroi and Babu Dhirendra Nath Joydhar. It is remarkable that the during the period of Dhirendra Nath Joydhar, this Junior High school received Govt. recognition in1973 which was started in 1970. Later, the managing committee of the school promoted the school as Naghirpar Secondary School and a former student of this school named Bashudev Adhikary became the Headmaster of the school. At that time, the ARJYAFAND came forward to donate sufficient land id favour of the school. Thus, in 1986 the Ministary of education gave permission to open class Nine and in 1988 first batch students took part in S.S.C examination . In 1989 the school received Govt. recognition and on July in the same year the school turned into full-fledged Naghirpar Secondary School.
