Syed Mosharaf Rashida (SMR) Academy was established in 2003 at Mohishadi near the Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir Bridge as it is a vast revering area and the distance of surrounding school from here is far away. The neighboring people of this area are worst fisherman, Riskawapulars and day laborers. They are too poor to meat both ends meat. Mr. Mahabubur Rahman, a generous and honorable person of this locality was hardly requested to establish a school here. For general education of their wards. So he donate requiring land and contracted a two floor building consisting of 12 rooms with congener atmosphere of education. The school is named after his parents name Syed Mosharof Hossain & Most. Rashida Begum I-E SMR Academy. The school is run by the experience teacher and a Head Master Salim Reza.
