Rahamgonj Adarsha Secondary School is a renowned school in Bakergonj Upazilla in the district of Barisal. The school is situated in a nice place adjacent to the highway from Barisal to Barguna five kms away from the Upazilla town. The founder is Md. Munsur Ahmed who is also the founder headmaster. The school was established in 1990. Md. Munsur Ahmed is the only son of Raham Ali Howlader who was born in an aristocratic farmer family in the second decade of 20th century. Though Raham Ali Howlader completed only primary education, he was philanthropist. He helped the poor people to receive education and get jobs. Not only that he also helped the poor around him providing food and money during crisis period. To spread education among the poor boys and girls, he advised his only son (Md. Munsur Ahmed) to establish this school. Now the school is well established. All modern facilities are available here. About four hundred students of different communities and religions study here peacefully. The result of public examination is very excellent.
