Welcome to ABDUL MALEQUE COLLEGE, a developing educational institution. Mr.Abdul Maleque, a renowned educationist of Uttampur village under Rajapur Upazilla of Jhalokathi District had a lofty dream to develop the country. He deeply desired to establish a college to give higher education to his fellow villagers. With that end in view he collected funds from the local people and spent his own earning and resources and was finally successful. It is situated on the bank of a small river "Jangalia" some 7 kilometer south-east of Rajapur Thana Sadar. The total land area of the college is about 3 acres. It has a two storied academic building and a tin shed building well furnished with all educational equipments. There is a play ground in front of the academic building. This institution was established on 1st July 1989 and got recognition from Jessore Board on 1st July 1996. This college was enlisted in M.P.O. on 1st May 1999. Honorable founder Abdul Maleque appointed some brilliant teachers to run the college in the right way. They worked hard and turned the college into a unique one. The result of public examination of the college is satisfactory. This institution has individualy as well as specially in teaching method of the teachers. Mainly rural and under privileged students study here. They get special care and attention from the teachers free of cost. A friendly environment prevails here and a good relationship exsists between the students and the teachers.Besides, the students can take part in various co-curricular activities, like music,dance,recitation,debate,sports and what not! As a whole this institution is removing the darkness of ignorance and illuminating the mental faculty of the people of this area. However the persons concerned are trying their level best with a view to devloping the institution in all respects.
