TUSHKHALI UNION TOFEL AKON MEMORIAL SECONDARY SCHOOL

This school was established on the 16th January in 1978. It was started by twelve students only. The school was established for the purpose of the study for the children of the poor and day laborers only in rural environment. Late Master Asmat Ali Akon was the first man who was mainly inspired for this. For the all Co-operation of the local people, late Abdul Jabber Akon established the school with the help of land property and finance in keeping the memory by the name of late father Hazi Tofel Uddin Akon. At the time of foundation some educated people of the local area started teaching activities as voluntary services. At this time Md. Majibul haque Akon at first performed his duty as a Headmaster temporarily. The school was got recognition as a junior school in 1981. Afterwards the school was got recognition as a secondary school in 1986. At this time Late Abdul Satter Akon, late Abdul kader Akon and Md. Abdul Aziz Akon offered the necessary lands. The students from the school participated in Secondary school certificate Examination for the first time in 1987. At present the results of the S.S.C & J.S.C examination are very satisfactory. It can be cited that the district commissioner in Pirojpur offered the crest for the passing of the hundred percent in the S.S.C examination of the year 2008 as the recognition for the great credit.
