BATRA PREM CHAND GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL

Batra Prem Chand Girls High School is situated at the rural area of agailjhara upajila. It is one of the best girls school of this upazila. It was established in 1972. At first it got recognition in 1973 as a junior school. After that it got recognition as a high school in 1982. For establishing the school the Roy dynasty people came forward and their first renowned person of Roy dynesty was Prem Chand. After his name the school named was BATRA PREM CHAND GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL. At that time there was only one girls school at Agailjhara. So the authority decided to setup a girls school in this area. Mr. Subodh Chandra Barai was the first head master and Mr. Radha Nath Sarker donated the land for establishing the school. From then the school is running well. There is a record of 100% pass in 2012 and 95% in 2013 in the S.S.C exam. The school participate in Co-curricular activities in different school of upazila. The school also setup a record of awards in sports competion in the upazila. The quality of education is increasing day by day of the school. Recently the school has been at acknowledged as the best school of the northern region of Agailjhara Upazila.
