Historical background of kaunia college. Kaunia college in one of the best colleges in barguna district. This college is situated at 23 k.m remote from district town and 15 k.m from upazila sasdar. It is situated at kaunia. The founder of this college is Md. Hemayet Hosain, S/o- Ataher uddin Howlader with the help of Anowar hossain Howlader and Some villagers. Md Hemayet Hosain donates 1(ome) acre land from this college building with the skilled lecturers.This college is founded on 8th March,2004 with only 5 students at present about 380 students are running their study including Humanities, Business studies and science groups.There are 21 lecturers along with 10 staffs. Considering the renewed above description, the college is a unique one.
