Union Pragati Secondary School,Udaykati is one of the best school accross the banaripara upazilla and it is the first school in udaykati union. The school was founded by Md. Abdul Hakim Miah on 21st January 1971.The first Headmaster of the school was Mr. Sukharanjon Das. After the liberation war, the school was recognized by the B.I.S.E Jessore in 31 January 1974.( from 01 January 1973). At present there are one multistoried building and one tin-shed house. There are 417 students and 11 teachers in this school. It is regarded as the best school in banaripara upazilla under the district of barisal.
