Banaripara Degree Collage was founded in the upazella municipal corporation head quarters in 1984 on 3.79 Acre of land. Since there was no college for higher education in the upazella head quarters, an attempt was Taken by Mantulal Kundu, Advocate Mahmud Hossain Makhon, Mahbub master and others. Ex-parliamentarian of constituency Barisal-2 Mr. Manirul Islam founded This College for the benefit of the local people. For the foundation of this college great freedom fighters late Mr. S.M Salim and Late Mr. Abdul Hakim Sikder Had Contributed a Lot. Banaripara Union Institution Contributed its land and furniture . Ananta Kumar, Abdul Malik Talakuder, Mr. Answer Ali Contributed Their Land also. The College area is Surrounded with wall and also is decorated with different kinds of Trees along with fruit trees, green bower that have made the environment charming.
