Vhasanchar Bidyanandapur College was established in 2000 by the financial support and donation of the farmers, the labours and the poor people for the sake of higher education of surrounded rivers and SIDR affected Mehendigonj upazilla under Barisal district. Two long buildings of 160 feet by 32 feet and 80 feel by 30 feet are built on a lond of one acre. This college has secured second position in 2004 and eight position in 2006 and 2011 and the rate of passing is 82.14 with two A+ in 2013 in the Barisal Board. The principal of this college is Akter Hossen and the founders are Engineer Shahidul Alam and Hazrul Islam Chunnu and the first President of the college was Bashudeb Ganguli, UNO, Mehendigonj.
