Hazi Syed Badrul Hossain College is situatated at the northern part in the Barisal District of Muladi Upzilla at Sofipur Union at the remote place. Perceiving the necessity of education, the well-wishers of education and society of this union. Advocate Abdul Zabbar Mia, Late Abdur Rasid Sarder, Mr. Sahjhan Mia, Mr. Jarip sarder, Abul Kasem Chaklader along with the renowned persons of this locality attempted to establish this college in 1995. Next Mr. Hazi Syed Badrul Hossain who is the inhabitant of Batamara Union came forward to establishing this college and promised to give the financial support according to meeting at11.02.1999. According to this meeting Advocate Abdul Zabbar Mia, Abdur Rasid Sarder, Tofazzel Hossain Sardar, Abul Kasem Chaklader, Dr. Habibur Rahman, Aiub Ali Sardar gave away the land to establish this college from 1999 this college started to teach the students. The Education Board gave the primary teaching permission from session 2001-2002 and from session 2004-2005 this college gave permission the academic reorganization. To spread higher education this college gained high reputation. The result of this college is satisfactory. In 2010 this college is undered MPO. There are two groups in this college. There commerce and humanities. To open Degree course, this college is undered processing. At present, there are 15 teachers and staffs in this college. At preset about 500 Students are studying in this College.
