J.K. Model School was established in 1988. `J’ stands for Jamirbari and ‘K’ for Kalbila names of two neighboring Villages. The location of the school is near the border land of the two villages. During the founding period this area was backward and mass people of the two villages were illiterate and poor. Then Mr. Sarat Chandra Biswas , a teacher of science, along with co-operative villages and with the help of NGO named ‘CCDB’ founded the school. Mr. Biswas is working as a headmaster of the school from September 6, 2010. The land donor of the school were Baniram Rari and his brothers , Nakul Chandra Majhi and his nephews and A. Khalek Bepari. Manindra Nath Biswas was the first headmaster of this school. Being a model institution of education and unity in the vast dark area, J. K. Model Secondary School is quite unique.
