Sher e Bangla Degree College at Shikerpur,the 1st non government Degree college in Wazirpur Under the Distric of Barisal is situated in an congenial enviroment on the bank of river "Sandha" on 3 April, 1970. When Bengali nation become hopeful for gaining independence, then Deputy Commissioner, the sacred soul Mr. Nurul Amin Khan (C.S.p) on behalf of the pepole of all waeks of life at shikerpur, wazirpur, laid down the foundation stone of the college for spread of education. The institution has been playing pioneering role in spreading quality education and is being run with the dynamic management of the mordern system of education.
