Welcome to BHOLA GOVT. SECONDARY GIRLS' SCHOOL

Bhola Government Girls' High School Present Bhola Government Girls' High School is the first institution for female education of that time in Bhola Sub-Division. It was established in 1928 by the help of the then Bakergonj District Deputy Magistrate Mr. Blandy. So its starting name was Bhola Blandy Girls' M. E. School. Mr. N. N. Gupta was honored as the first Headmaster. At that time it was situated near the Baker Gonj Zilla Parisad Building. Now that place is used for Headmaster and Teachers' quarter. After the partition of British India its name was turned to Bhola Girls' M.E. School. From the beginning to 1950 it was upto class six. And in1951 class seven was opened. In 1958 first batch of metric examinee group appeared under BISE, Dhaka. East Pakistan Government nationalized the institution on 15th November 1968 . In 1973 the school has been shifted to the new place. This land was donated by Mr. Nader Miah and others. In 2010 school has started 2nd shift. Now total number of students are near about 1500. The school has made a merit place several times in Barisal Board. The school has been awarded British Council International School Award in 2012. The headmasters who worked here and the present one is trying utmost to overcome the problems and to keep its name and fame. Each year almost all the examinee succeeded in various public examinations. The school bears a good reputation for co-curricular activities , different national and International event.
