Halima Khatun Mohila (Degree) Mohabidhalaya is situated at Uttar Joy Nagor near Banglabazar beside Bhola - Daulatkhan high way in Daulatkhan Under Bhola District. With a view to providing higher education to the women who are lagging behind in respect of acquiring higher education, a few young, enthusiastic intelligentsia patronizing promotion of learning took a master scheme to establish an women college in this area. With a mission to the empowerment of women through education, renowned educational patronizer and former member of the parliament of Bhola -2, Al-Hazz Hafiz Ibrahim came forward to assist them and taking some assistance from the founding principal Nur-a-Alam established this college in 2002. It was named after his loving mother Halima Khatun. This renowned educational institution has Science Department, Arts Department and Business Studies Department under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Barisal ; Business Management Department under Technical Education Board ; H.S.C programme with tutorial centre and examination center Under Open University and B.S.S. (Pass) Course under National University. More than 1000 students are studying here in different department and more than 57 experienced teachers and staffs are employing here. The students of this institution are making unique result in examination under the guidance and concerted efforts of the founding principal with all the teachers. This initiation is highly praised as it stood first in pass percentage rate among Women Collage under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Barisal, uninterruptedly in the year from 2008 to 2013. The infrastructure of this college is excellent with a two storied concret building, a Teen shed concrete building, a spacious Teen shed house having Computer Lab, Science Lab, Large Spacious Library, Common room, teachers room, Play Ground, ponds, evergreen Campus, etc. In fine, it is one of the renowned educational institute especially for women in Bhola District.
