KULKATHI SHAHIDIA UNION ACADEMY (HIGH) 1

It was shib puza, on 2 March, 1927. The Hindus were going to Shib Bari at Ponabalia, Jhalokathi by the side of kulkathi Jame Maszid. The Muslims obstructed the path. The Hindu tried to go but could not. At last they sought the help of administration. Mr. Blandi, the District Magistrate, Came to the spot but the excited local Muslims did not let them to go shib Bari using the path. Mr. Blandi was misunderstood by the Hindus and he ordered the police to open fire on Muslims. At this, 19 Muslims were brutally killed and many of them were injured. Kulkathi Shahidia Union Acadimy (High) has been named after these Shaheeds.
