History of College Foundation : Education is the best asset in developing man power. In order to attain national progress, we must need education which has no alternative. Quality education needs to be developed in order to face the challenges of globalization . We need to give the topmost priority on monitoring Academic education if we want to build up a prosperous digital Bangladesh. Proper academic monitoring is ensured by the best use of class room, by the proper service of qualified teachers and above all by the best leading of an expert administration. Nalchity degree college is not lag behind in this context rather she is one step forward. The environment and the surrounding of this college are attractive, charming and free from all kinds of dirty politics. She is situated in the heart centre of Nalchity Municipality. Nalchity Degree College was founded in the heart centre of Nalchity Municipality in 1972. This College is being conducted by a group of expert teachers. More than 1500 students are now on studying in this college. The result of public examination was and is satisfactory. From the regulation of the college Governing body dated on 04/06/1972. We can know that there was no institution for higher education in this Municipality. B.M College was the only educational institution for higher education. Many students couldn’t complete higher education as B.M. College was in a distant place. As a result, local elites, local mass people , leaders, student and guardians felt extreme necessity of establishing a college. Feeling this necessity, they unanimously agreed and supported to establish a college. Later the foundation of this college is inaugurated and decided to be named as `` Nalchity College’’ admitted in 11th class in the academic session 1972-1973. Thus it passed several years with some barriers . Overcoming all barriers, there after it was promoted to a Degree College by a regulation presided by Md. Kabir Uddin Ahmed (Chandu Mia), the honorable member of mass assembly. Nalchity Degree College had to face many obstacles. At the very beginning, it had no permanent building, classes were taken in a temporary tin shade room. There after Mr. Kabir Uddin Ahmed (Chandu Mia) MCA and Abdul Hamid Khan donated 2.79 Acres land for this college. At present its total land is 4.66 Acre. On 15/07/1972, Nalchity College was inaugurated by Mr. Moyez Uddin Ahmed, Sub divisional Magistrate, Jhalakati. Syed Md. Monoar Hossain was the founder Principal. Soon this college succeeded to attain fame all over this Sub division. This institution has already passed 43 calendar years. Endless love of all local inhabitants is admixed in the whole infrastructure of the college. Nalchity Degree College is creating expert manpower and gifting talents each year by utilizing the merit and latent creativity of the students. This college is shining with its own glory all over the Nalchity Municipality. Amidst these so many wants, Nalchity Degree College feels pride as it has been able to create talents and spread the light of education among students very successfully and with satisfactory results in public examination. We eagerly hope that this college will get co-operation and development assistance from Education Board, Education Ministry, DG above all from all concerned authorities.
