The college was established as an intermidiate one at the sadar Upazilla, Nazirpur, Pirojpur and was included under MPO porcess in 1983. Next to this, the college was affiliated to Degree level in 1987 with the National Univesity, Gazipur. The institution bears name and fame regarding its number of students and results. For this, the college was declared the best one on the basis of Degree results in 2002 and was awarded accordingly. Besides, the college secured the 8th and 20th position in succession in 2009 and 2012 as per H.S.C results of BISE, Barisal. Moreover, the college has been temporarily affilated to Honours course with the National Univesity in session 2012-13 and it has been maintaining the scheduled classes accordingly since then. Now,the college has been at the peak of glory in the zone.
